I create design tools (e.g., privacy front page generator) that help practitioners elicit utility-intrusion value articulation for the use of AI during the early phase of product ideation. I also use mixed methods to study end-user privacy needs in consumer AI, such as online behavioral advertising (OBA) and ChatGPT.
In addition to human-centered AI and usable privacy & security, I work at the intersection of ubiquitous computing and computer-mediated communication. Specifically, I build interactive systems that support people’s attention (e.g., UX dark patterns, notifications) and communication (e.g., instant messaging) on smartphones and web browsers.
I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Dr. Sauvik Das and Dr. Jodi Forlizzi.
